NAICS Codes

NAICS Codes

NAICS stands for the North American Industry Classification System, and is used as the standard for classifying businesses by federal statistics agencies. They use the codes to collect, analyze, and publish statistical data related to the U.S. business economy.

Adopted in 1997, the NAICS systems replaced the previous Standard Industrial Classification, or SIC system. It was developed under the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), with high levels of cooperation among federal agencies from the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. We at Minor Rubber offer products covered by the following codes:

NAICS 339991 covers manufacturing gaskets, packing and sealing devices of all materials. This NAICS code, and corresponding entries includes industries such as grease seals manufacturing, oil seals manufacturing, and molded packings and seals manufacturing.

NAICS 326291 covers rubber product manufacturing for mechanical use. This NAICS code and corresponding entries includes extruded, molded or lathe-cut rubber goods manufacturing.

NAICS 326299 covers all other rubber product manufacturing, both natural and synthetic. Some illustrative examples of this grouping are latex foam rubber manufacturing, rubber balloons manufacturing, rubber floor mats manufacturing, and rubber tubing manufacturing. The code does not cover tires, or hoses and belting.
