Grommets - Military Standard

Grommets - Military Standard

Did you know that Minor Rubber has a history dating back to the late 1800’s, with our doors officially opening in 1914? Since then, we’ve been involved in projects ranging from making rubber-coated rainwear for firefighters and police officers to manufacturing parts for the United States Department of War (now the Department of Defense) during World War II to being involved in every space program from Mercury to Apollo.

This all means that not only are we a true American manufacturer, but we are a manufacturer that has been part of the fabric of America’s history. We now make rubber products and components for a wide variety of industries, and one of those that we are especially proud to manufacture for is the U.S. military.

Mil-Spec Grommets

Our Military Standard MS35489 rubber grommets are used for a variety of applications and are typically purchased by government agencies and their sub-contractors. Applications for these grommets include electrical insulation, noise control, sealing, and vibration insulation. They are manufactured to exact military standards and are always of the highest possible quality.

Our Nitrile (Composition A) grommets are formulated for applications that require resistance to ozone, oils, and ultraviolet rays. Our silicone formula (Composition B) grommets are made for high and low temperatures, ozone, and ultraviolet ray environments.

Our military grommets are available in a wide range of sizes and styles, with varying inside and outside diameters, groove widths and diameters, and thicknesses. In total, we have over 190 varieties of Military Standard grommets.
